Biden announces that Dreamers will have access to health coverage: some Republicans oppose
This Thursday, President Joe Biden announced procedures to provide Medicaid and Obamacare coverage to thousands of beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The government argues that Dreamers pay taxes and therefore should have access to health coverage. However, some Republican legislators have spoken out against this initiative, such as Senator Tom Cotton, who stated that it is “an insult to American citizenship.”
